魚油的功效與副作用

西元 1971 年,丹麥科學家 Bang 和 Dyerberg 發表了 ω-3 脂肪酸可降低罹患心肌梗塞以及腦栓塞等疾病,近年來科學研究發現:

魚油的功效包括

  1. 減低血小板凝聚,預防血管疾病。EPA 被稱為『血管清道夫』,減少血栓形成及心血管疾病的發生率。
  2. 魚油可促進情緒平衡:研究發現足夠的 ω-3 脂肪酸,可改善憂鬱症、過動症及注意力不集中等問題。 
  3. 抑制發炎反應:魚油會減少發炎前驅物質的生成,可改善紅、腫、疼痛等發炎症狀。 
  4. 抑制癌細胞生長:魚油對癌細胞具抑制作用,能減緩癌細胞生長速度。

魚油的副作用包括

  1. 當每日攝取量超過 3 克時,會增加腸胃不適、出血、LDL 上升等副作用。
  2. 延長凝血時間:若有吃某些特定的藥物或食物如:抗凝血劑、維生素 E、銀杏、大蒜等,則會有增加出血的危險,若本身是血友病或凝血障礙者,會有凝血時間延長的危險。
